article by Annette Haddad appeared in the Business Section of the Los Angeles
Times on Sept. 25, 2004. The same news was picked up and reported by Tom Lochner
in the West Contra Costa Times on Oct. 1.
The
article talks about the "10 hottest housing markets in California" -
those with the largest year-to-year increase in August median home prices. A chart
entitled "through the roof" listed 10 California cities, and there was
HERCULES, RIGHT AT THE TOP OF THE LIST! Hercules is the only northern California
city represented on the list. ALL of the other cities were in southern California.
